About the venue
The Story is the start of a new chapter for a historic building on Franklin Street. After a complete renovation in 2021, the space features exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, and professional lighting throughout.
The venue opens onto Franklin Street and features four spaces: the Ballroom, the Rooftop, the Game Room and the Bridal Room.
The Entrance
The Story opens right onto Franklin Street and is an easy walk from the UNC campus. It’s perfect for university events. Or if you just want to be close to all the action.
The Ballroom
The Franklin Street entrance leads to The Ballroom. This space features hardwood floors and 12 foot ceilings.
The Game Room
The Game Room is located on the lower level of the venue. It features a bar along with two pool tables, a foosball table, and classic arcade games.
The Bridal Room
The Bridal Room is a secluded space with comfortable seating and a large vanity mirror.
The Rooftop
A steel staircase leads from The Ballroom to The Rooftop. This open-air deck features a hardwood deck with an overhead trellis for shade.
